‘Tis The Season To Be Merry & Safe

Even though the holidays are going to look a little bit different this year, I am determined to hold on to the holiday spirit! Here are my tips for how to stay merry and safe this holiday season.

Tip #1: Keep it Small

We should all follow our state and local guidelines and keep our gatherings small.  But no matter how small the gathering, focus on keeping the traditions that bring you joy. For instance, my husband’s grandma always makes pineapple bake for Thanksgiving…his favorite, so this year I’m going to make sure he still gets to enjoy it.

Tip #2: Keep It Simple

Usually, I host about 25 people every Thanksgiving. This year it’s just going to be my immediate family so I’m taking this opportunity to keep things simple and focus my energy on spending time with my loved ones.

In a recent Chinet® brand survey, 35% of respondents said they’ll be using disposable tableware for the holidays. Many said their focus is less on a formal setting and more on spending time together safely. In fact, the CDC encourages using “single-use items” this holiday season (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/daily-life-coping/holidays.html).

Still, I want Thanksgiving to feel festive and celebratory. Fortunately, Chinet® Cut Crystal® collection allows us to get fancy without the fuss. Their plates, cups, and cutlery are elegant and come in a completely coordinated collection that is the right combination of strength and style. Perfect for the holidays! Chinet® Cut Crystal® collection is the right call if you are looking to spend less time cleaning up and more time with loved ones.

Tip #3: Help for the First Time Hosts

To pieces of advice…first, don’t ditch the turkey! Instead, choose a smaller turkey or go big and enjoy leftovers for days!

Another piece of advice…get everything you need at Target! You can now use their safe, contactless services whether it be Drive-Up, Order Pickup, or same-day delivery with Shipt to get everything you need for your holiday meals and more, including fresh and frozen groceries nationwide – no membership required. Whether that be a whole frozen turkey, green beans, ready-made sides like garlic mashed potatoes, or apps like these Fig & Rosemary crackers with Brie cheese… Target’s ready to get you what you need, when you need it.

This holiday, Target has enhanced its pickup and delivery services to make it even easier and safer to shop for holiday meals and more. They’ve added nearly 8,000 Drive Up spots to serve more guests quickly and Shipt added 100,000 shoppers to make getting whatever you need to feed the family as easy as pie.

I hope these tips helped. Ultimately we all need to try and find joy in the smaller moments and appreciate what we have. Happy Hollidays everyone!
