I’m Ereka Vetrini. I’m a mom of two, a wife and a TV host- in that order. I balance family, work and life’s little hiccups as best I can. Sometimes I fail. Sometimes I succeed. I’ll write about both openly and honestly. I don’t pretend to be perfect and I very tactfully avoid people who do.
With my blog BeYoutifulMoms I hope to help moms feel beYOUtiful inside and out. It’s usually all about your kids, but sometimes it needs to be just about YOU.
They say write what you know, so that is what I intend to do. Under the categories of Beauty and Fashion, Food, Fitness and Health and Family I’ll share tips and tricks that I’ve learned in my career and life.
Beauty and Fashion– For an hour nearly every day I get to sit in what we call “hair and makeup”, followed by “wardrobe”. Beauty experts work hard to help disguise my dark circles, unmanageable hair and the Italian ass I’ve been “blessed” with. I ask these men and woman lots of annoying questions and have learned great tips and tricks that save me time and money. I plan on sharing all of them with you.
Food– I’m a first generation Italian and the daughter of restaurateurs. What does that mean? As a kid I never ate anything out of a can. I showed up to college with 5 jars of tomatoes, a container of homemade pasta and enough biscotti to feed my entire dorm. I LOVE food. I love eating it, cooking it and sharing my recipes. I’m no chef, but I’m a damn good cook and I promise to share my favorite family recipes and tips to getting my kids to eat the good stuff.
Health and Fitness– I break a pretty seriously sweat about 4 days a week. I guess you could say I am slightly obsessed with keeping on top of the latest fitness trends and health initiatives. I’ll share my journey to staying healthy and fit post baby-making as well as tips and tricks to getting your kiddos to eat the green stuff.
Family– I’ve got one. Two kids a husband and a HUGE extended family. We’re all a little crazy (good crazy), but what family isn’t? I’ll share the laughs, the tears and all the chaos.
I hope you enjoy what you read, but be forewarned that I am an “oversharer.”
Best,
Ereka
